After a break-in two doors down, the yard door got a British Standard deadlock, a heavy padlock bolt and new hinge bolts.

The survey found the back door was the weak point: one old nightlatch and hinges you could knock out from outside. We fitted a five-lever British Standard deadlock, hinge bolts, and a heavy brass padlock bolt across the door. The insurer accepted it the same week.
